Notes from the Editor
Hi {{first_name|JRN Community}},
Some weekends in rowing feel like the calendar is trying to say something. This is one of them. The National Schools' Regatta is back at Dorney Lake, the SRAA National Championship Regatta is drawing high school rowers from across the USA, and over in Dublin, the Metropolitan Regatta is delivering its annual dose of high-quality racing on the Liffey. Three regattas, hundreds of crews, and no shortage of stories to follow.
As ever, we've been keeping tabs on it all - previews, coverage, the works. If you haven't had a chance to keep up with the racing this weekend, you're in the right place. Let's get into it.

🇬🇧 2026 National Schools’ Regatta
Dorney Lake plays host to one of the most prestigious dates in the junior rowing calendar. The National Schools' Regatta brings together the best U19 talent in the UK for a weekend of racing that never fails to throw up standout performances and the occasional surprise.
🇮🇪 2026 Dublin Metropolitan Regatta
One of the highlights of the Irish rowing calendar, the Dublin Metropolitan Regatta draws a strong and varied field to the Liffey each year. Fast racing, a great atmosphere, and always worth following, wherever you're watching from.
🇺🇸 2026 SRAA National Championship Regatta
One of the oldest scholastic rowing championships in North America, the SRAA National Championship Regatta (the "Scholastic Nationals") heads to Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee this weekend. Around 1,500 athletes from more than 160 programmes have qualified to be here. This is as big as high school rowing gets in the US.
